What keeps a plane like the new Airbus A380 in the air?
Aviation "history" was made on the morning of April 27, when the first
Airbus A380, the world's largest commercial aircraft, made its maiden flight
departing Blagnac International Airport in Toulouse, France, at 10.29h local
time, flying west of Toulouse in South West France. The A380 weighs more
than 420 tonnes (almost a million pounds), so what keeps such a hulk in the
skies?
